When you message me to book your session, I’ll answer all of your questions and we will schedule your shoot day and time. Once the session booking fee is received, your appointment will be confirmed and I will send you your online Client Questionnaire via email. Your Questionnaire includes your preferences for the shoot location, session style, clothing, favorite colors, props, favorite poses and more. All of your questions will be answered via email, phone, or if you prefer, in person. My goal is to fully understand how I will create a successful experience for you from start to finish.
After session I will send you a sneak peek on Facebook - usually within a 24 hours! This preview will give you an idea of what you will see in your full set. Approximately 1-2 weeks after your session, you'll receive an email from me with a link to your password-protected online gallery. You will be able to pick your favorite images with an instant download access.
Please fill out the contact form and I will send you an email response. I will answer your questions and once you are ready to book, we will together schedule your session date. Once the session fee is received, your session will be confirmed. I will send you an email confirmation with your session info and Client Questionnaire.
How long will the session last?
Regular sessions last approximately an hour, but I do not watch the clock for full sessions.
What if it rains on our outdoor session?
Rain and high wind weather dates result in a reschedule.
When will our session take place?
I prefer to begin shooting outdoor sessions about two hours before sunset. This is the time of day that photographers refer to as the “golden hour” and during that time we will find beautiful, flattering light. However, I also understand that sometimes it can be hard to have little ones cooperate at that time of day. If you don’t think this time of day will work for your family, I also offer early morning shoots (about 30 minutes or so after the sun rises).
When do I view my pictures?
About 2 weeks following your photo shoot, I will present to you your best images fully edited and retouched in online, secured Gallery.
How much does it cost?
The session fee is required to secure your date. This fee is transferable but non-refundable. The session fee includes the session planning, custom photo shoot, editing of 30-50+ unique proofs. You will have the option to purchase prints and digital files as well as a variety of wonderful heirloom products at excellent prices.
What should we wear?
I want your photos to reflect YOU and since each person is different, rather than telling you what looks good I’ve have created a Pinterest board with lots of different outfits, makeup and hair ideas just for families. I do suggest avoiding too busy patterns as they can be distracting (however bold patterns can look great!). I am always here to give suggestions.
Where do we change our clothes?
Be prepared to turn your car into a dressing room! Also, feel free to bring a towel or blanket to cover up with between changes. We may do a little walking so be sure to bring a pair of flip-flops for in-between scene changes.
Can I get digital files of my photos?
YES! Web-ready and or high- resolution digital files are available for purchase as well as print products.
How long does it take to receive my printed images?
Once your order has been placed, your beautiful package will arrive within 4-5 weeks.
How many images will we see from our session?
Expect about up to 30-50 images in your gallery to view.
Will you tell us how to pose during my shoot?
Absolutely! We will give you lots of ideas and directions throughout your session to help you all feel at ease. Sometimes the best photos are the candid ones because that is when you are at your most relaxed. We will coach you along and make you feel comfortable and confident.
What should I prepare?
Think about your hands and nails. For the little ones, bring along some non-messy snacks for times when I give the kids a little break — or bribery. Also, wipes come in handy for a lot - muddy hands, runny noses, and baby spit up. If your child has a favorite toy or book, bring that too! Consider packing a brush, lip gloss, backup clothes, and bug spray.
